Scout Sunday
Every year in early February, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts celebrate Scout Sunday. All Scouts who attend Sunday church services are encouraged to wear their full formal uniforms to church. Many churches incorporate Scouts into the services, in duties ranging from ushering to readings.
Scout Sunday is the 1st Sunday of February for most denominations, but for Methodist churches (including our sponsor, Vale Methodist Church) Scout Sunday is the second Sunday in February.
It should be stressed that Scouting is a non-denominational youth program, and no Scout should feel pressured to participate in a faith or services outside the faith of his family.
